Post-installation works on 400 precast panels for a data centre package, Marsden Park NSW, finished in four months in 2025. Figures below are the contracted scope for one project, not a career total.

Two service streams, one accountable crew
Pick the one that sounds like your job. Both are delivered by the same directly employed crew, under the same insurance and with the same photographed close-out.
I manufacture or install precast panels
- Caulking and joint sealing, base and dowel grouting, plate and grout-tube patching, applied to the panel manufacturer's specification.
- Sequenced with your install programme and agreed with the builder at least one day ahead, so the trade behind us is never waiting.
- Defect rectification and punch-list close-out, photographed and filed by project.
I have a concrete problem on a building
- Concrete cancer, spalling and exposed reo treated behind the bar, not patched over.
- Crack repair, honeycomb repair, correction of falls, floor grinding and levelling.

We understand that post-installation works sit on the critical path. Our commitment is a planned sequence, agreed with the builder and our supervisor at least one day ahead, so the trade behind us is never waiting.

Junctions and substrates
Silicone joint sealing to the system nominated by the panel supplier or builder. Sealed to precast, blockwork, brickwork, render, cladding and tiles. Expansion joints and fire-rated joint systems installed as a system, not as a bead.

Black Feather supplies
Platform ladders and steps for its workers. Hand, battery and electric tools. PPE for every worker.
Client or builder supplies
Mobile plant such as scissor and boom lifts. A panel installation schedule, so crews are mobilised where and when needed.
Material
Installed to the manufacturer's written application requirements. Supplied by us, or free-issued by the builder or panel supplier. We match any product nominated.

Concrete repair and remedial works across Sydney
Structural and cosmetic remediation where concrete integrity is the priority, from make-good to full spalling treatment. Remedial concrete works on commercial, industrial and infrastructure buildings, and on strata buildings as the concrete subcontractor to remedial builders, delivered by our own directly employed crew.

What we treat
- Concrete cancer & spalling treatmentRust staining, cover lifting off in plates, and concrete that sounds drummy or hollow when tapped.

How a repair is done

Break out to sound concrete
Concrete is broken out square and cut back behind the bar, so the full circumference of the reinforcement is exposed rather than the face of it.

Reinforcement cleaned and treated
Steel is cleaned to bare metal and coated with a zinc-rich primer before the section is reinstated.

Reinstated to the original line
Repair mortar applied to the manufacturer's specification and ruled back to the original profile.

Finished to the class nominated
Surface finished to the class the specification calls up, ready for coating.
Why the repair holds
A patch applied over corroded steel hides the defect for a season and comes back larger. Cutting back behind the bar costs more time at break-out, and it is the difference between a repair and a cover-up.
Where the cause is cover depth or water ingress rather than the patch itself, we put that in writing before starting, so the builder can decide the scope with the engineer.
The same wall, start to finish
One parapet run, photographed from the same position at each stage. The pockets below held corroded cast-in fixings. The same face is shown as found, prepared, reinstated and finished.
Overhead slab repair
Soffit repairs are saw-cut to a square perimeter, broken out to sound concrete, and reinstated in halves so the bay stays supported while it cures.
Two or three photos with something in frame for scale, plus the building type, is enough to start.

Every defect and rectification is photographed and filed by project, so the builder receives a documented close-out rather than a verbal sign-off. Records are available on request for any project listed above.

The people who start your package are the people who finish it.
Our General Manager, Bruno Wagner, has more than ten years in the precast and concrete industry in Australia: caulking and patching precast panels on the tools, then concrete remediation, before running the crew and the programme. The method on site is one he has done himself.
Every crew member is directly engaged by Black Feather, uniformed and inducted on the head contractor's site before start. We pay above the going rate for the trade, and that is a retention decision rather than a gesture: a crew that stays is a crew that knows your sequence, holds the programme and leaves less rework for the trade behind us. It is what allows us to hold quality on repeat engagements rather than staffing a job and disappearing.

Our crew is directly employed, not hired in for the job, so the people who start your package are the people who finish it. The sequence is agreed with your supervisor at least one day ahead, and if a date has to move you hear it from us before it moves, not after. Every rectification is photographed, so the close-out is documented rather than verbal.
“A new supplier means three weeks of compliance paperwork.”
The documents a prequalification asks for exist today: certificates of currency for AU$20,000,000 public and products liability and for workers compensation, White Card records for every worker, ABN, ACN and GST registration. Request them at tender stage and they are issued to you or loaded straight into your portal. The Capability Statement on this page is the same information in the format your estimator files.
“Your rate won't fit the way my contract is written.”
Then tell us how it is written. We quote by project or by hour, built from your scope, the drawings or the defect list, and with or without material, so the price lands in the format your contract already uses. The engagement fits your contract, not ours.

A patch applied over corroded steel hides the defect for a season and comes back larger. We break out behind the bar, clean the reinforcement to bare metal, prime it, and only then reinstate. Where the cause is cover depth or water ingress rather than the patch itself, we put that in writing before starting, so you can decide the scope with your engineer instead of paying for the same repair twice.
